A jury found Jacob Matthew Bouloy, 28, of Lubbock guilty Wednesday of online solicitation of a minor for sex.  Bouloy was communicating with an undercover officer in March of 2015.  The undercover officer represented himself as Hanna – a 14-year-old girl.

Evidence in court indicated that Bouloy made arrangements to meet Hanna near the Park Tower apartments and purchased condoms before the meeting.

His defense attorney told the jury this was a case of entrapment – that he was induced to commit a crime he otherwise would not have committed.  But the jury found him guilty.

Bouloy will be sentenced by a judge on Friday.  The punishment ranges from 2 to 20 years in prison.
