TODAY: Freezing Rain Advisories in effect for Briscoe, Cottle,Floyd, Hale, Hall, Motley, and Swisher Counties until this evening at 6pm. It appears most of us have missed the window for freezing rain this morning as temperatures begin to climb above freezing into the upper 30s. However, our northeastern counties will remain below freezing today, so for that reason any precipitation they experience during the day will be in the form of freezing rain. The remainder of us will see a slight chance for isolated showers during the second half of the day.

TONIGHT: I’m expecting temperatures to drop right at freezing overnight with a greater chance for precipitation. The chance for freezing rain will remain in the forecast tonight with minor accumulations possible for us in Lubbock.

TOMORROW: Precipitation will transition into rain by the afternoon as temperatures warm into the low 40s with higher coverage chances. We’re even expecting a few strong storms to develop later in the day, some of which could produce small hail and heavy rain.

Have a great weekend!
