TODAY: Mostly sunny and warmer temperatures today with highs in the mid 70s! A Wind Advisory will be in effect for the majority of the South Plains from 11am until 6pm with sustained winds from 25-35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph. Our far northwestern counties will be under a High Wind Warning for the same time period with sustained winds in those areas 35-45 mph and gusts up to 55 mph at times. The windy conditions later today could result in patchy blowing dust resulting in low visibility in some spots.

OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy overnight and staying windy, but temperatures will only drop into the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: We’ll reach our high temperature in the low 50s tomorrow during the late morning hours before the front arrives. The arctic front will swing through by the mid afternoon hours and the colder air will quickly rush in behind the front. By the early evening hours I’m expecting temperatures to drop near freezing! The winds will remain strong throughout the day tomorrow as well.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
