TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies and very windy by later this afternoon with high temperatures in the mid 70s. Wind gusts will range from 55-65 mph generating blowing dust by the second half of the day, which will make visibility low. Red Flag Warnings for the entire South Plains from 11AM – 7PM due to extreme fire danger. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged and any fires that develop will spread rapidly. High Wind Warnings this afternoon as well for eastern New Mexico and areas on the Caprock including Lubbock.
TONIGHT: A cold front will swing through tonight and dramatically drop our temperatures overnight. Lows will fall near freezing tomorrow morning with mostly clear skies.
TOMORROW: A quiet and much cooler day is ahead for your Wednesday with sunny skies, calm winds, and high temperatures only in the upper 50s.
