TODAY: Yesterday was the second straight day of record breaking heat! We topped out at 107° at the airport which broke the old record of 105° set back in 1933. The extreme heat continues today with high temperatures throughout the South Plains ranging from 100°-107°. Heat advisories have been issued for the majority of counties in our area, which will be in effect from 1pm this afternoon until 8pm. Remember to drink plenty of water during the day and limit your time outside. The chance for a few isolated storms later this evening returns to the forecast as well.
TONIGHT: Just a few clouds tonight with temperatures in the mid 70s. Breezy conditions will pick back up overnight with gusts up to 30 mph.
TOMORROW: Tomorrow will be our last day in the triple digits! Mostly sunny skies for your Thursday, however the chance for evening storms remains in the forecast.
Have a great day!
