TODAY: Yesterday was the 3rd consecutive day of record breaking heat! We made it to 108° at the airport, which broke the old record of 107° set back in 1933. We’ll be back in the triple digits today, but I don’t expect any records to be broken. Heat advisories have been issued yet again for the majority of counties in our area, which will be in effect from 1pm this afternoon until 8pm. Also, we have another shot for evening storms throughout the South Plains. Some storms could become severe and produce hail as well as gusty winds.
TONIGHT: Any storms that do develop will begin to dissipate around midnight. We’ll be left with partly cloudy skies and temperatures into the low to mid 70s.
TOMORROW: We will finally return to the upper 90s tomorrow with mostly sunny skies. But, there is the chance yet again for a few storms to develop during the evening hours.
Have a great day and stay cool!
