Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda and Candice Bergen all have different views of love and life, but their common bond is their Book Club. They decide, one month, to submit their disbeliefs to 50 Shades of Gray. The threesome chart their own trilogy through new and renewed inspirations, finding truth in the old saying of life and literature, “the next chapter is the best chapter.” The comedy is rated PG-13 and runs a little longer that three half-hours. Tickle your own vicarious fancy at the Alamo Drafthouse or either Cinemark.
And then, there’s Deadpool 2. This time, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, sexually aggressive dogs, the list goes on and on. His singular goal, to earn the coveted coffee mug title, “World’s Best Lover.” It’s Rated R, of course, and runs 103 minutes. Try to forgive yourself for enjoying it at the Alamo Drafthouse and everywhere else.
That’s a look at what’s happening in the Hub City, with Joe Sherwood‘s Entertainment Thursday.
