A Spider, A Sister and Shrek

Spidey comes home in this third reboot of the franchise. Peter Parker comes home after his latest adventure with the Avengers, struggling to find his identity. But he has a great support system in place with Aunt May and Tony Stark. Of course, there’s a brand new villain you’ll love to hate. Spiderman: Homecoming is rated PG-13 and runs two hours and fifteen minutes. Sling some webs at the Alamo Drafthouse and every other Lubbock movie theater.

Lubbock Moonlight Musicals opens it’s second show of the summer: Sister Act. It’s based on the famous Whoopi Goldberg film, where a diva has to escape from her old gangster boyfriend by hiding as a nun. She turns the convent on its habit and the musical is fun for the whole family. The show runs friday and Saturday nights all month, and you can get your tickets through Select-A-Seat.

Also at the Amphitheater this month, Shrek Jr! Moonlight Children’s Theatre brings all the fun little characters to life and the show is designed for kids. Performances start at 9:00 in the morning, Fridays and Saturdays: Tickets through Select-A-Seat.
