Black Panther is Marvel’s latest blockbuster, which happens after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The superhero is T’Challa, king of the African nation, Wakanda. He returns home, only to be challenged by an old rival. The black panther finds himself in the middle of a conflict that puts his nation, and the world, at risk. It’s rated PG-13, runs longer than two hours, and the reviews are raving. Fell the power at the Alamo Drafthouse, Premiere, Tinseltown and Stars & Stripes.

Country superstar Blake Shelton comes to the United Supermarkets Arena Friday night. It’s the latest stop in his “Country Music Freaks Tour,” and he’s joined by several artists, including Trace Adkins. The show starts at 7:00 and there are still some tickets left. Get them through Select-A-Seat.

The Lubbock Community Theatre presents Blithe Spirit. It opens Friday night and runs for the next three weekends. It’s a comedy about an author (played by KAMC’s own Joe Sherwood) whose first wife gets conjured back after a seance, much to the disliking of his current wife.
