Moonlight Musicals continues it’s last summer show, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It’s a classic, set on the Oregon Trail in the 1850s. The brothers-in-law learn to go a’cortin, but wind up kidnappin’ as many young lasses. It runs every Friday and Saturday night this month at Mackenzie Park. Get your tickets to the 8:00 show through Select-a-Seat.
Channing Tatum is down on his luck, thanks to a family curse, and comes up with a plan to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway. His one-armed brother and his sister, Katie Holmes, join in, and so does James Bond… well, Daniel Craig, anyway. But complications force the gang to pull the heist during the Coca-Cola 600… all the while trying to dodge a relentless FBI agent, Hillary Duff. The PG-13, 2-hour comedy is getting rave reviews. Get in on the Logan Lucky action at the Alamo Drafthouse, either Cinemark, or Premiere.
One of the world’s best bodyguards has to protect one of the world’s best hit men… both of whom have been trying to kill each other for years. Their 24 hours together take them across Europe, trying to escape a Eastern-block dictator. The Hitman’s Bodyguard is rated R and runs almost two hours, it’s in every Lubbock theater and has a star-studded cast. Ryan Renolds is the bodyguard, Selma Hayek is the hitman’s wife… and the hitman is Samuel L. Jackson… which can only mean one thing: plenty of %$#@&!@*^! Join the chase at Alamo Drafthouse and everywhere else.
