The Texas Department of Public Safety released more information, including names, Tuesday afternoon about a deadly crash four miles south of Tahoka on U.S. Highway 87.  

DPS said two people were killed in the crash.  They were publicly identified as Ivan Adam Davila, 35, of Horizon City and Terry Dene Gwin, 42, of Tahoka.  

DPS said at about 5:30 a.m. Davila was driving a Ford Explorer northbound in the southbound lanes.  DPS said the Explorer hit a Ford pickup truck driven by Gwin. 

Both vehicles ended up in the center median.  As for why the Explorer was in the in wrong lane of traffic, DPS said “the crash remains under investigation.”
