Multiple fire departments were called to a report of a fire in a home early Thursday morning in North Lubbock county.
New Deal and Shallowater Fire Departments were called around 2 a.m. Thursday to a home in the 1000 block of North County Road 2500.
According to the New Deal Fire Chief, one person was inside at the time of the fire, but was able to make it out safely.
The chief also said the fire stated in the back bedroom and spread to other parts of the home. There is smoke damage throughout the house.
According to the chief, the fire departments were able to put the fire out quickly.
