A new study linked antibiotics prescribed by dentists to the superbug infection C-Diff. Minnesota health officials found almost 40 percent of dentists are not following guidelines and are overprescribing antibiotics.
Surgery patients who think they’re allergic to penicillin are much more likely to develop infections.
That’s according to researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital who found alternative antibiotics are less affective.
