The crash happened at the intersection of 50th and Milwaukee. According to Lubbock Police, Canaday was sitting in her car waiting to turn left, when another driver heading the opposite direction drifted towards the center of the road and hit Canaday’s car head on.
“You only need to spend two minutes with her, to know hwo great of a person she was,” said Cameron Canaday. “She was uncomparable, What she did for everybody in her life, she left a permanent mark.”
The young woman leaves behind a fiancee and two small children. Her family is using the money collected from the GoFundMe for funeral costs and future living expenses for her children.
“Now it’s our job to take care of what she left behind. Those are our two blessings from her,” he said.
