Comics are coming to life in the Hub City for one weekend. The fourth annual Hub City Comic Con kicks off on Sept. 15 and continues through Sept. 17.
There will be popular characters, 100 vendors and celebrity guests. On Sept. 15, there will be a VIP event.
Costumes are encouraged and there will even be a costume contest for adults and children. Organizer, Chris Slatosch, said this event is great for families to attend.
“It is a good family experience,” Slatosch said. “There is a lot of people and they come out they generally all have the same interest and it’s a good place for that community to come and hang out and meet each other.”
Hub City Comic Con will be held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. There are different ticket options which are available at the door or online at www.hubcitycomiccon.com.
