Justin Bieber Canceled Tour, Rededicates Life to Christ, TMZ Said

TMZ reported Tuesday that Justin Bieber pulled the plug on his Purpose tour because he “rededicated his life to Christ.”

TMZ cited sources connected to Hillsong Church.

TMZ said, “Bieber has been virtually joined at the hip with Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz over the last few months, but we’re told Lentz did not advocate for cancelling the tour.”

It was previously reported that his 15 shows will be canceled.

An official statement said, “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them.”

“However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase,” the official statement said.

Previous reports said Beiber was “just over it” and exhausted.

In a video on Monday Beiber said he was not betraying fans and he simply needed some rest.

In the Monday video he said he would be relaxing and riding bikes.

But now TMZ has reported, “Bieber’s decision seemed to come out of the blue, but our sources say it was squarely based on what Bieber believes is religious enlightenment.”

So far TMZ is the only source to cite new found religious belief as a reason to stop the Purpose tour.
