TODAY: Wintry mix in our northwestern counties this morning, but by later this afternoon precipitation will transition over to rain for all of us as temperatures warm above freezing. However, it will still be cold today with highs only in the upper 30s and overcast skies. Along with rain showers, you can also expect a few storms producing lightning and heavy rain at times.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will drop right below freezing overnight with rain showers transitioning to snow early tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW: Light snow showers early tomorrow morning for the northwest and central South Plains with minimal accumulations. Less than an inch is expected here in Lubbock with slightly higher accumulations of 1-2 inches off to the northwest. Snow will transition back to rain during the afternoon and gradually taper off by the evening.

Have a great day!
