The 36th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball benefitting the American Cancer Society will take place on July 28 at the V8 Ranch.
The event will feature headliner Robert Earl Keen and dance band Emerald City, along with food from various vendors like Evie Mae’s Barbecue.
This year, co-chairs of the event Dr. Tim Miller and Dr. Clark Mooty said they are focusing on the Lubbock Hope Lodge, a local facility offering free lodging and transportation to and from treatment for cancer patients. They said the goal is to turn the focus back to the heart of the mission of cancer research.
Guests can also purchase a “Sign for Hope” featuring a family member who has battled with cancer for $25. The signs, featuring slogans like “In Memory of” or “Dedicated To,” will line the road to the event venue.
“It’s a good way to personalize this year’s event at the ranch,” Dr. Miller said, “and a good reminder of why we are doing this.”
Tickets for the Cattle Baron’s Ball can be purchased online at lubbockcattlebaronsball.org or over the phone at 806-792-7128.
