Lubbock Police were investigating an aggravated robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Central Lubbock early Thursday morning.

Lubbock police released the following information about the robbery :

Lubbock Police officers responded to the 7-11 at 3802 34th Street at approximately 3:40a.m. in referenced in to a robbery that had just occurred. The cashier told police he was taking a break near the end of the counter when he heard the door open. When the employee turned around, the suspect was pointing a handgun in his face. The employee says the suspect threatened to shoot him if he pushed the alert button. The suspect then demanded money out of the cash register and the safe. The cashier complied and the suspect ran from the store.

During the robbery, the suspect made a comment that he had previously worked at the store.

The suspect was described by Lubbock Police as a white male between 25 and 30 years old, weighing about 140 pounds. and standing at about 5’08”.  At the time he was wearing a camo hoodie and a black mask.
