Lubbock Police respond to shooting Monday night, one person shot

The Lubbock Police Department and other emergency crews responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of 37th Street Monday evening around 9:00 p.m.

According to police, one victim was shot and was taken to a hospital with severe injuries.


A witness told police that the shooter left the scene.  Police said more details would be released when possible. 

On Tuesday, Lubbock Police provided the following update:

It appears there were several people at a residence in the 6100 block of 37th Street when a physical altercation broke out. During the fight, a suspect fired multiple shots. A 32-year-old male at the home was shot and was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. At this time, no arrests have been made. This case remains under investigation.
