MedMinute: Can mom’s mood have an effect on her child’s math skills?

Researchers at Brigham and Women’s hospital have pioneered a pea-size capsule that can deliver insulin orally rather than by injection. The team successfully injected the ingestible microneedle loaded with insulin into the stomach lining of pigs and discovered a decrease in blood glucose levels. They said more testing is needed.  
 
A new study finds pregnant women who have a cheerful attitude can have a positive effect on their child’s academic achievement especially when it comes to math and science. British researchers examined data from 1,600 pregnant women and their children’s math skills.

Is it wine before beer, or beer before wine? A new European study said either way you’ll end up with a hangover if you drink too much. Researchers monitored 90 volunteers and found different orders of drinks had no real bearing on a person’s hangover.
