LUBBOCK, Texas– Most infant suffocation deaths in bed are due to unsafe sleep practices, according to a new review of 250 cases published in the journal Pediatrics. Doctors renewed recommendations that infants should sleep alone, on their backs, with no soft toys or bedding.
A new study suggested the rates of cancer patients using marijuana to manage their pain have increased in recent years. Doctors at the University Of California San Diego said people with cancer were also more than twice as likely to use prescription opioids than people without cancer.
