A new CDC report found more mothers are breastfeeding, but not for long enough. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommended infants be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of life. According to data from 2015, while most babies start out breastfeeding, only 58% of infants are breastfeeding at 6 months and just 36% at age 1.
Your office design is more important than you think, according to a study published online in Occupational & Environmental Medicine. It found people who worked in offices with an open design were more physically active and less stressed than those who worked in cubicles or private offices.
Areas with lots of places to buy a drink have higher alcohol-related hospital admissions. Researchers took a look at neighborhoods in England with the most pubs, bars and nightclubs. They found those places had a 13% higher admission rate for drunkenness, vomiting, and even liver disease.
