The most-fit adults have the best shot against developing lung and colorectal cancer. They also have a much better chance at survival if they do get those forms of cancer, according to doctors at Johns Hopkins tracking nearly 50,000 adults undergoing exercise stress tests. They found highly-fit patients were 89% less likely to die from colorectal cancer and 44% less likely to die from lung cancer. 

Researchers in Europe said heart patients who are more physically fit may have healthier brain function, including stronger memory. Doctors said heart failure patients who walk further in six-minute tests are much less likely to have cognitive issues. 

A new study out of Fairfield University, looking at the psychology of shoppers, found in-store mobile phone use unrelated to shopping, such as phone calls and sending texts and emails, may be associated with a jump in unplanned purchases.
