Epi pens save lives, but a new study shows most adults aren’t using them. A study published in Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology shows 52% of adults with potentially life-threatening allergies don’t use their injectors in an emergency. People said they either didn’t have their epi pen with them or thought it wasn’t necessary to use it.
Improving CPR training could save more lives. That was according to the American Heart Association which said standardized online and in person classes are falling short. The organization said most courses don’t focus on retaining the information or mastering skills.
More colleges and universities are putting smoke free and tobacco free policies in place. A new CDC study finds more than 2,000 college campuses completely prohibit smoking or other tobacco use in all indoor and outdoor areas.
