Lubbock police got nearly 40 reports of vehicle burglaries on Saturday and Sunday, specifically at hotels in Lubbock.

Police say in a majority of these cases, the suspects smashed a window on the vehicle. Some of the victims reported there was nothing stolen from their vehicles. Other victims had personal items, electronics, purses, and tools stolen.

Police also said there were two reported firearms stolen from cars parked in hotel parking lots. 

And suspects stole one car from a hotel parking lot this weekend as well.
