Two neighbors, Larry Cerovski and Isaac Escobar, share a close bond, the same birthday. They’re also always watching out for each other.
It all started when Escobar offered to fix Cerovski’s trailer.
“I went away for christmas vacation, when I got back I realized my house had gotten broken into, they stole all my welding equipment,” Escobar said.
Some of that stolen equipment was in the trailer. On Tuesday, they believe those same suspects came back, this time trying to steal the entire trailer.
“Here he is doing something nice for me, he let me leave it here for a bit, then while they’re stealing from him they start stealing from me too,” Cerovski said.
When Cerovski heard loud noises coming from his neighbors yard, he ran out and told them to stop.
“I was almost shocked, there was a pickup truck in the process of backing right up to that trailer,” Cerovski said. “I went ahead and discharged and it went into the pickup.”
He hit the truck and stopped the suspects from stealing the trailer, but they got away.
“Broken into twice already, it’s good to know that they were looking out for me, we do have that relationship,” Escobar said.
Cerovski said he would do it again just to protect his neighbor.
“We’ve got to stick together even more so than what we already do to try to watch out for one another,” Cerovski said.
