At 3:55 a.m., the morning of July 4th, officers responded to The Park Apartments at 5702 50th street for reports of shots fired.
As officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male who had been shot. He was taken to UMC with code A injuries.*
Investigators believe the shooting happened after an argument between two groups over snapchat. By the time officers arrived, the suspect(s) had already fled the scene.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene. An investigation is underway.
