A woman was taken to the hospital after a car hit a house in the 4400 block of 32nd Street, Thursday night, according to Lubbock Police Department. 

Officers responded to the scene just before midnight, to find an individual with serious injuries. The woman transported by EMS to the hospital, police said. Her name was not yet released. 

On Friday morning, LPD released the following statement:

A woman is in the hospital this morning in critical condition following a crash Thursday night. Crash investigators with the Lubbock Police Department are working to determine the cause of the crash.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on February 21st, Lubbock police officers responded to reports that a Hummer crashed into a home in the 4400 block of 32nd Street.

The driver and sole occupant, a 48-year-old female, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

It appears the driver was traveling southbound in the 3200 block of Quaker Avenue and veered off the roadway to the right. The Hummer continued traveling through a front yard and struck a home and tree.

The residents inside the home were not injured.

At this time, it is unknown why the vehicle left the roadway. This crash remains under investigation by LPD crash investigators.
