Rescue crews responded to the X-Fab Texas facility, 2301 North University Avenue, Wednesday morning, at about 8:30.
Initially, there were reports of a person trapped in a tank. However, a spokesman for Lubbock Fire Rescue said officials later came to understand someone suffered a medical condition.
Firefighters went into the tank with the man. He was brought up using a vest and ropes. LFR did not have an update on the man’s condition but did say he was alert. Once he was brought out, EMS took him to a local hospital.
