Over 25,000 people filled the stands of Jones AT&T Stadium on Palm Sunday for the event ‘Pray Jones Stadium 2018’.
The purpose of the event was to “worship the Lord and pray for spiritual awakening,” said Paige Allen, directional leadership team for Pray Jones.
The event involved 365 partners and 132 churches in attendance, according to Allen.
The last time a spiritual event packed Jones Stadium to this extent, was when Billy Graham gave his sermon in 1975.
“This has been on our minds too with Billy Graham passing away. Like wow, something is going to happen again,” she said.
“It’s encouraging to see people show up for something besides a ball game,” said Roger Bennett, a volunteer at the event and member of Experience Life Church.
