Thousands of dollars in equipment were taken Monday from Daley’s Superior Asphalt on East Lehigh Street.
“As far as the equipment that was on the trailers, you’re looking at about $30,000,” said plant manager Michael Cork.
The thieves stole things like a pressure washer, a welder, blowers and other tools.
“From some cameras from the neighbors, we’ve discovered they took the pressure washers and the welders first,” Cork said.
They also noticed their own DVR with video surveillance footage was missing, too.
But luckily, they were able to get surveillance video from the business next door.
“Then when they were finally done, they stole our DVR that had the video surveillance on it,” Cork said. “We did see that much on video, it was a pickup that came in.”
Because most of the tools are gone, they’re struggling to keep business going.
“The welder hurts us, as far as making repairs, things break down on this plant, it’s an older plant so things are always breaking down on it,” Cork said.
The owners are offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who knows any information. With any information, call their office at 806-774-2592.
