Two Injured in South Lubbock Shooting

Lubbock Police and EMS were called to a shooting in South Lubbock early Monday morning.

The call first came in just before 3:00 a.m. Monday to a home near 110th Street and Indiana Avenue.


EMS said two people were injured and one of the victims had serious injuries. There was no word yet on the extent of the injuries of the other victim. 

Early Monday afternoon, LPD released the following statement: 

LPD Investigating Attempted Murder/Suicide

(LUBBOCK, TX) – Lubbock Police Officers were called to 3224 110th street, at 2:48 a.m. on Monday, January 1st, following reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival officers located both a male and a female with gunshot wounds.

EMS transported both individuals to UMC by ambulance.

At this time, Detectives with Persons Crime are investigating.
