A family of four must to live in silence, or be attacked by mysterious creatures: if they hear you, they hunt you. It’s a modern-day creature feature, with plenty of blood and terror. A Quiet Place is rated PG-13 and runs 90 minutes. Be very, very quiet at the Alamo Drafthouse and everywhere else.
Ballet Lubbock‘s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is this weekend only. The Shakespearean comedy dances differently that the actor’s edition, and the result is just as much fun. Its great for the whole family, and the production is… as usual… top notch. Get your $20 to $50 tickets through Select-a-Seat. There are only three performances.
Three girls make a promiscuous prom pact and their parents are less than pleased. The parents decide to intervene with a covert operation to stop the girls on the magical night. John Cena stars in the raunchy R-rated comedy. Blockers runs not quite two hours, but it’s full of rollicking laughs and the reviews are mixed to good.
