At approximately 2:20 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home in the 600 block of 29th Street. After questioning multiple people, officers determined two males had previously gotten into a verbal argument at the Stripes located near 34th Street and I-27. Both parties left the convenient store.

One of the males, the suspect, traveled to the home in the 600 block of 29th Street. A short time later, the victim arrived at the same location and found the suspect standing outside. The argument between the two men continued. Officers were told the suspect fired shots at the victim, and the victim returned fire.

The suspect ran from the scene. The victim was picked up in a personal vehicle and taken to Covenant, with what we believe to be non-life threatening injuries.

At this time the suspect has not been located.
