These Texas Tech students and their parents placing bids are hoping to raise a lot of money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“So we have a fishing trip in Port Aransas. One of our sisters actually has a boat there that their parents donated, and a fishing trip. So we’re extremely excited about that.” said Abby Day, auction organizer.

A variety of items are up for auction, and the profits go straight to the kids who need it most.

“Hopefully we’ll make enough to grant a few wishes,” said Day.

This annual auction is organized by the Chi Omega sorority at Texas Tech. The sorority’s national philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“One of our speakers is a girl whose wish was granted this summer. We hope to raise money to grant more wishes,” said Carolyn Lackey, Chi Omega adviser at Texas Tech.
