Lubbock County VOICES/Keep Teens Alive Youth Coalition through Starcare Specialty Health System will be headed to Washington D.C. for National Leadership Forum held by the Community Anti-drug Coalitions of America.  The youth coalition members will be attending the National Youth Leadership Initiative that empowers youth yearly across the U.S. and abroad to fight drug use and other problems plaguing their communities.  We are asking the Lubbock community to come out and support these youth by participating in the upcoming fundraiser that will be held November 28, 2016 at Chipotle from 5-9 p.m. Tickets are currently being sold for a flapjack fundraiser through Applebee’s on December 3, 2016.

The Chipotle fundraiser will be held at West End Mall located at 2912 W. 289. Participants need show the actual flyer or picture of flyer and mention that they are supporting Keep Teens Alive Youth Coalition.  Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser tickets are currently on sale for $7.  Please feel free to contact us through Facebook or email to buy your tickets.  Participants must have ticket to attend the breakfast fundraiser.  The money raised through these fundraisers will go toward registration fees, room & board, airline tickets for each youth attending CADCA’s National Leadership Forum.

“We want to encourage everyone to support the youth by participating in these fundraisers.” says Teresa Alvarado, Community Coalition Program Director, “The CADCA National Leadership Forum will allow these youth to learn strategies to fight substance abuse and hear from nationally-known prevention experts, federal administrators, concerned policymakers and other youth coalition members across the country.”
