A Killeen man was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning, according to the Killeen Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Botanical Drive at around 5:21 a.m., but were unable to locate the victim or the suspect.

A short time later, police were notified that a 28-year-old man had already been treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound and was in stable condition.

Officials have yet to release the victim’s name as they continue the investigation.
