Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele make their big-screen debut as cousins in Keanu. When one’s beloved kitten is kidnapped, the two have to take to the hood and infiltrate a street gang to get the cat back. The fight over the kitten turns into a full-out gang war, and the two have to take the law into their own hands. It’s rated R and runs an hour-forty. World-Famous ventriloquist and stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham comes to Lubbock Tuesday. His Perfectly Unbalanced Tour includes all your favorite characters: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Walter, Peanut and Jose Jalapeno on a stick. Dunham was born in Dallas and this is his sixth major tour. You’re sure to laugh at the United Spirit Arena, Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m., and you can get your $20 to $50 tickets through Select-a-Seat.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the Lubbock Community Theatre presents Leading Ladies. It’s a PG comedy about two down-on-their luck Shakespearean actors who to try to pass as two long-lost English nephews to get an inheritance… but they find out they have to be nieces, instead.
