Eric Thomas, Vice-President and General Manager of KLBK-TV in Lubbock, announces that on-air personalities from KLBK will be appearing in Slaton, Texas on Thursday, June 18th to host live broadcasts of “Trends & Friends” at 5pm and “KLBK News at 6pm”. The event, taking place on the square in Slaton, is billed as “KLBK and Tejas Motors On the Road” and will also feature special guests from Tejas Motors including their mascot “Sticky”.
The public is invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs, watch the live broadcasts beginning at 5pm, meet and chat with their favorite KLBK personalities and take advantage of some special prizes and surprises courtesy of Tejas Motors.
The broadcasts will feature an array of stories and colorful personalities from the city of Slaton.
Personalities from KLBK scheduled to appear include news anchors David Collier and Terri Furman, meteorologist Rachel Briers, sports director Stacy Slayden, Kristin Goodspeed, Jenne Anderson and others.
