Dry Weather Friday: A mostly sunny, breezy and warm day is on tap across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains on this Friday. Highs will climb into the middle and upper 80s across the area. Clouds will be on the increase this evening and tonight.  The weather should be alright for high school football games across the region this evening. There is a very small chance of the a storm late this evening but most of the storm chances will be well after midnight. Lows tonight will drop into the middle 60s.

Rain Chances This Weekend: We have a good chance for showers and thunderstorms across the region this weekend and lingering into early next week. A few storms could be on the strong side but organized severe weather isn’t really expected. We’ll dry out on Tuesday and are expecting dry weather for the middle of next week. 

Cooler Weather Returns: Daytime highs will drop out of lower 80s on Saturday and down into the upper 60s and low 70s on Sunday. Lower 70s are expected on Monday but upper 70s will return on by Tuesday. We’ll warm back into the lower 80s by the middle of next week.

Overnight lows will drop from the 50s and 60s over the weekend and into the upper 40s early next week. Lows then climb back into the 50s by the middle of the week.
