LUBBOCK, Texas — A local business, Board & Brush, is out thousands of dollars after hundreds of pieces of wood were stolen. The wood was located inside an outdoor trailer, surveillance video showed the taillights as the thieves took off.
“It may be junk inside to some, but all of that wood is the livelihood of me and my family,” said Nick Tallman, owner of Board & Brush.
The D-I-Y wood sign store located on 82nd street, imports the wood from across the country. Tallman claims more than 5,400 pieces were stolen, and cost $10,000 dollars.
“It was about 90% of all of our inventory, and it’s not so simple to get it all back,” Tallman said. “I really hope whoever took the trailer will at least bring the wood back, I’d like the trailer too, but the wood is the most important.”
Despite the loss, Board & Brush is still open and accepting reservations.
