As people have been making their daily commutes through the intersection of Fourth and Frankford, they have not been able to help but to notice the ongoing friendly feud between Wendy’s and Pure Water & Tea Company employees.

For the past month, the two corner establishments have been going back and forth with their signs. It started when Pure Water put up a sign that read: “Kliff Kingsbury drinks for free.” Kyler Smith with Pure Water said they have been trying to start a sign war with Wendy’s for years.

“We noticed Wendy’s put up a sign that said ‘Kingsbury drinks and eats for free,’ and we said they can’t get away with that,” Smith said.

The workers at Wendy’s said it is all in good fun, and customers get a good laugh about it.

On Thursday their sign read: “Come and get served, you deserve it.” Pure Water Ice & Tea Company’s sign read: “You want beef Wendy’s? You got it.”

Wendy’s Employee Natalie Boswell said their General Manager comes up with the fun replies and that it has even been posted online.

“Everybody laughs, it’s all over Facebook that’s for sure,” Boswell said.

The two establishments said they both hope to continue the fun throughout the Summer.
