LUBBOCK, Texas — Severe weather clean up was underway Tuesday afternoon as tree clipping companies recieved dozens of calls.

“I’d say two dozen in the past two days,” said Casey Hildebrandt, Owner of Hildebrandt Tree Tech. “A lot of the damage we are seeing here is minor, but there has been a lot of it.”

Others dealt with issues including roof debris, and downed power lines. At Lubbock Speedway, construction workers cleaned up after two roofs were ripped off by strong winds.

“When we saw what had happened, it was really depressing,” said Barry Joachim, Owner of BJ’s Sandbaggers. “We’ve had to give up 3 to 4 work days to clean all of this up, but we are just grateful that it wasn’t worse.”

Both companies hope to have all repairs finished by sometime this week.
