On Friday, November 3, the Community Christian Church will kick off its 10th annual Holiday Extravaganza, which benefits local charities such as Meals on Wheels of Lubbock, HOPE Community of Shalom, the Family Promise of Lubbock and the Rainbow Room.
Gretta Cullers with Community Christian Church shared that the idea originally began 10 years ago as a holiday garage sale, but over the years transformed into the charity event that it is now. Cullers and Nancy Marquez, also with the church, shared that each year at least $20,000 is raised from the event for Lubbock MOW alone.
There will be an assortment of gift items and baskets to choose from as well as jams, baked goods, wreaths and more.
Debit and credit cards will be accepted (MasterCard and VISA only).
The event runs on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Community Christian Church is located at 96th and Indiana. Admission is free.
