After Tiffany Hendrix’s family car was broken into, they struggled to make ends meet. She had to replace both the glass and the stolen money, but the employees at Double T Glass made sure it was taken care of.
“I came out and called the cops, and I was looking through it.They had left a lot of stuff, but they had taken the money out and shattered the passenger window in our Yukon,” said Hendrix.
The money stolen was meant to help pay for their 7-year-old’s birthday party.
“That money was really for gas and the rest of our week, but because we were going to have to replace that out of money that we didn’t have at the time, it was going to come out of his birthday fund,” said Hendrix.
She called several places to get her window fixed, but never imagined what happened next.
“She just posted on Facebook that she was frustrated. You could tell that she was upset about what the situation was,” said Coby Schoenig, owner of Double T Glass.
The employees at Double T Glass decided it was the perfect opportunity to lend a helping hand. They fixed her broken window, free of charge.
“We were put in a situation and just plenty blessed and wanted to be able to help somebody else along the way, hope some others will tag along and do the same,” said Schoenig.
And also left another surprise.
“He said, ‘Man, I’ve already spoke to Sarah and we’re gonna go get some presents for her and we’ll put it in the car,'” Schoenig said.
“They had bought my son a little rampage toy and a little LEGO car and between the two gifts was $60,” said Hendrix.
She said no one could understand how much that meant to their family.
“It meant that much that they had cared another to take money out of their own pocket to make sure my son had a good birthday,” said Hendrix.
