Two new County Commissioners were elected Tuesday night for Precincts 2 and 4.

Jason Corley, newly elected Precinct 2 county commissioner, won 65.67 percent of the vote, according to final unofficial cumulative results from the Lubbock County Elections Office. Corley, a Republican, defeated Democratic opponent Nick Harpster and Libertarian opponent Ysabel J. Luna.

“I’m just really excited. I have worked hard through the primaries, and I am excited it’s finally here,” Corley said.

For Precinct 4, Republican Chad Seay defeated Democrat T.G. Caraway with a vote of 64.94 percent to 35.06 percent.

“A lot of people call up there and they say they never get responses. I feel like there is no openness and I want someone if they call, I will come and see you,” Seay said.
