“This helps support and move a city forward, move the community forward,” said Snyder.
In 2014 Covenant Health Hospital in Plainview received a 40 million dollar budget to both expand and renovate their facility. They just started phase two out of three total phases planned.
“We are excited we are going to be able to provide better and additional service and certainly a nicer facility for patients of Plainview,” said Bob Copeland, CEO of Covenant Health in Plainview.
They have expanded the hospital with a brand new surgical wing, hosting four new rooms and they say they have updated it with new state of the art equipment.
“Our little hospital here in Covenant is state of the art. You can get just as good or better care that you can get anywhere else. You can do it in the comfort of your community,” said Dr. M. Benjamin Farr, an Orthopedic Surgeon at Covenant Health in Plainview.
They say these updates will bring an economic growth to Plainview, by bringing in several new jobs.
“There is no doubt that we’re going to be able to provide better and additional service and certainly a nicer facility for patients of Plainview,” said Copeland.
City Manager, Jeffrey Snyder agrees that this will boost Plainview’s economic and health care reputation.
