The local Ronald McDonald House has partnered with Muscle Maker Grill to help raise awareness and funding.

When you purchase a meal plan with Muscle Maker Grill, a portion of those proceeds will go back to the Ronald McDonald House to help provide hospitality for families with children in the hospital.

Michael Clayton, co-owner of Muscle Maker Grill, said he encourages the community to consider adopting a healthy lifestyle now, rather than waiting until the new year, to help those in need.

“So, right now we are donating 10 percent of all of our meal plan orders to the Ronald McDonald House here in Lubbock,” Clayton said. “It’s a great opportunity to share with the community of Lubbock because this is home now.”

The Ronald McDonald director of finance, Manny Ramirez, says they are very thankful for their partnership with “The Manny Ramirez”, as in former Texas Tech Red Raider football player and co-owner of Muscle Maker Grill.

Ironically, both have the same name and both believe in health, fitness, eating right and giving back.

“The proceeds that they’re going to be giving to us are gonna go a long way. Especially now, during the holidays, we do have a full house,” Ramirez said. “Any donation that comes in now through the holidays would help us take care of the families that are staying at the Ronald McDonald House.”

“The Manny” said it’s always been important for him to help the community that supported him during his time at Texas Tech University, as a student, athlete and coach.

“Our mission at the end of the day is to help everybody with their own goals of what they want to reach. To be able to do that for the community and help others out as well,” ‘The Manny’ said. “Now, we’re kind of looking for their help. For all the meals they purchase a part of it’s gonna go to people who aren’t always able.”

You can participate, now through January 4, by purchasing discounted meal plans in the restaurant, located at 6012 82nd Street, via phone (806) 368-8006 or online at: www.musclemakergrill.com.
