The Deleon family is still looking fro answer after a car accident killed 29-year-old Kevin Flores. They said they’re still coping with the loss.
“This is just one of the most heartbreaking loses I think our family has suffered,” said Loretta Deleon, Kevin Flores’ Cousin, “It’s just a puzzle as to what’s going on. Why this is an open and closed case because we thought originally it was just an accident. Apparently it’s not anymore.”
Nearly three weeks ago, Flores was killed when his car crashed into a pole near 4th and Toledo. His car crossed lanes of traffic and hit a utility pole. He was the only person in the car, but police are still investigating why his car crashed.
The Deleon family said Kevin worked at KFC since he was 16 with dreams to continue moving up.
“He was really dedicated on his job. He wanted to be a manger. He would always tell me, ‘Oh, I can’t wait until you retire because I’m taking this store.’ I would always be like ‘Okay!'” said Joann Deleon, Kevin Flores’ Aunt.
They were able to raise enough money for Kevin’s funeral, but they want to know how the accident happened before they put him to rest.
“I mean his friends came through in a big way. It just goes to show how loved he really was,” said Loretta.
“Please share it. Please help us find something. Let us know for us to have peace in our heart,” said Joann.
The Deleon family also wants to thank everyone who’s supported them through this hard time.
